Scholarship Opportunities

*Juniors can now have one college visit the second semester without it going against their attendance.  All college visits must be approved in advance by the school counselor.

Earl Bane Scholarship Instructions--must be postmarked by February 28, 2020.

The Salina Rotary has announced their scholarship for 2019-2020. Financial need, leadership, scholarship, and community service are the criteria by which applicants will be judged. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and must be admitted to a college within the state of Kansas. Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2020 and mailed to Salina Rotary Club, P.O. Box 3392 Salina, Ks 67402-3392.

The Wendy’s Heisman Scholarship is available for any senior who is involved in school sports programs. Apply at Wendysheisman.com. Any questions, contact the counseling office.

The Acacia Fraternity scholarship is available to any male student that is going to attend Kansas State University in Manhattan. They are offering one leadership scholarship for $1,000 and two in the amount of $500 to incoming freshman. You do not have to be associated with the fraternity to apply. The application can be found and submitted online at www.acaciaksstate.org.  If you have questions please contact the school counselor.

The Friends of the Library scholarship--Now called the Joe McKenzie Youth Scholarship-- applications are available for anyone who volunteered for 30 hours during their high school years and helped with at least one Friends book sale.  Applications are available in the counseling office and the deadline is March 12, 2020.

The G.L. Huyett Charities is offering five $1000 scholarships to students in the Saline County.  The on line application is available at huyettcharities.com to apply.  The deadline for the application is April 1, 2020Click link for instructions.

Saline County Farm Bureau scholarships are now available for students who live in Saline County.  There are seven $1000 and one $1500 scholarships available.  The deadline for the applications is April 10, 2020.  The applications are available in the counseling office. The Knights of Columbus scholarship is now available to any male that is a registered member of one of the Salina Catholic Churches.  This is a $1000 scholarship and the deadline for the application is May 1, 2020.  Applications are available in the counseling office.  Click link for instructions.
